Brian Gillie, a performing artist and arts educator of remarkable taste and sensitivity, believes that the power of music, song and dance revitalizes the soul, rescues the heart and reveals our inner grace. After two decades of teaching and performance, tens of thousands of students and adults can attest to the success of Brian’s ideals. Brian has offered programs and training through Young Audiences of CT since 1983, and he is a Master Teacher with the Connecticut Commission on the Arts, Culture and Tourism.

American Popular Song: explore 300 years of song styles, changing cultures and colorful personalities, performed and taught with “cool,” interactive formulas and with doses of humor, mischief and multi-media ingenuity to spice the process: buggy to boogie, minstrel to jazz, ragtime to rock.
